07.02.07 - MCFADDEN'S SALOOON TO OPEN IN HISTORIC MUSIC CITY
Nashville, TN – The owners of McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon, located at 134 Second Avenue North, released their Grand Opening Date for the arrival of the “Wildest Irish Pub on Earth” in Nashville’s historic downtown for August 9th, 2007. The team is completing the multimillion dollar build out which will be replacing the former Market Street Brew Pub. A sprawling modern Irish pub, complete with a full service dining room and raw bar, 100 foot mahogany bar, dance floor and private party room, The Jameson Lounge, McFadden’s will be an unparalleled compliment to the already burgeoning downtown. A well known staple in the bar scenes in New York City, Boston, DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Columbus, McFadden’s gets bigger and better in their 10th location in the heart of Music City.
The main floor of this breathtaking space is designed to represent turn of the century ‘Olde New York’ tavern ambiance with master craftsman mahogany wood work, modern chrome fixtures, and banquet seating. Integrated into this warm modern saloon decor is a compilation of over 20 state of the art high definition plasma televisions featuring East and West Coast (college and professional) sports and events. McFadden’s Saloon will be open daily from 11am serving lunch, brunch, dinner and a late night dining menu. The Menu boasts many nationally recognized and award winning dishes, including the authentic Philadelphia Cheese Steak Nachos, and The Coney Island Foot Long Hot Dog.
The convivial early evening hours of McFadden’s legendary happy hours will give way to a robust and bustling nightlife, with live DJ’s every Wednesday through Saturday.
Doors open to the public at 8pm on Thursday, August 9th 2007, immediately following the VIP Reception (held between 6-8pm). There will be parties hosted by the Nashville Scene, 107.5 The River, NYC’s hottest DJ’s and Vanilla Ice. For more information or to make Guest List Reservations, call 615.256.9140 or visit www.mcfaddenssaloon.com.
05.15.07 - Voted 2007 AOL's Best Happy Hour! McFadden's DC
Voted 2007 AOL's Best Happy Hour! McFadden's brings to town the traditional fun and new funk that's made it a bar star in the Big Apple. 'We're not your grandfather's saloon,' warns McFadden's, but it does preserve the best old pub traditions -- like St. Patrick's Day 365 days a year.
Glossy dark wood and polished brass railings are signatures at McFadden's, along with the long and lively bar. Check out happy hour specials from brews to 'tinis, rockin' hot DJs and unexpected new contests. Most folks come for the nightlife, but that doesn't mean you have to starve. McFadden's American pub grub, like boneless wings and mozzarella sticks, make for good finger food. Come for a pint and a bite after work, and you'll probably end up staying for the evening. -- Tracey Meloni
11.28.06 - BEST OF BOSTON 2006
Best Bar, Irish 2006
Most Gaelic-themed haunts share the same traits: a dark interior, flowing Guinness, and weathered regulars. McFadden’s has the first two, but mercifully replaces aging drunkards with attractive young singles, solid food (shepherd’s pie, fish and chips), and a raucous afterwork crowd.
